Description

A Chinese Qing Dynasty period red lacquer cabinet from the 19th century with faint hand-painted décor and brass hardware. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this cabinet features a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by a red lacquer. A rectangular top is sitting above two doors adorned with a faint hand-painted décor showcasing likely palace scenes involving male characters in landscapes, occupied at various tasks. Upper closer inspection, one will discover a bench, delicate flowers and crane birds.

These doors are fitted with brass hardware made of a scalloped backplate with ring pulls, and open to reveal inner shelves offering convenient storage options. The sides are made of black recessed panels and the back is planked. The ensemble is raised on four straight legs. With its clean lines, red lacquer and faint gilded décor, this Chinese Qing Dynasty period cabinet will make for a great addition to any home, perhaps showcased in a living room or a bedroom to store bedding or towels.
