A Chinese Qing dynasty style wooden cabinet from the late 19th century, with paneled doors, drawers and butterfly iron hardware. Born in China during the late 19th century, this exquisite wooden cabinet features a molded cornice, sitting above an elegant façade made of two sets of small double doors, accented with drawers. Each set of double doors opens to reveal inner shelves, while the cabinet's center presents three drawers fitted with iron hardware.
The lower section finds its perfect conclusion in the two large drawers and the spandrels that accentuate the apron. Our eye is immediately drawn by the paneled motifs, and honey colored patina, contrasting beautifully with the dark hue of the iron hardware (note the riders on the doors' backplates!) With its large proportions and lovely finish, this Chinese late 19th century Qing style cabinet will bring an elegant presence to any home, perhaps placed in a bedroom or living room.
