Description

A tall Chinese wooden cabinet from the late Qing dynasty (1644-1912), with chinoiserie panels. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty, this cabinet is made of natural wood with beautifully carved and lacquered chinoiserie panels. Organized into three sections of doors with two small doors below two sets of larger doors, the ensemble is raised on four short legs connected to one another through a carved apron.

These doors are adorned with oval chinoiserie insets on each panel, showcasing hand-painted Chinese characters on black lacquer. Around these panels are intricate carved foliages. The doors open to reveal two hidden drawers and shelves. This 19th century Chinese Qing Dynasty cabinet with chinoiserie panels will bring an exotic touch to any home, particularly placed in a bedroom, living room or dining room.
