This variety is an old Alyssum favorite. New Carpet of Snow flowers later than of the other Alyssum varieties we offer, and while it possesses a looser plant habit, its trademark outdoor performance keeps growers and home gardeners coming back year after year. Alyssum seed produces dense creamy-white flower clusters that grow in mounds. Due to their short height, these flowers work well as ground cover, edging borders or an added attraction to a rock garden.
Growing Alyssum from seed is easy, and it can be started in containers indoors six to eight weeks before the last day of frost. However, it is best to sow the seeds directly into warm soil after the danger of frost has passed. You must plant Alyssum seeds in well-drained soil with exposure to full or partial sun for successful growth.
Germination will begin within two to three days after sowing. With the proper preparation and care, our seeds allow you to grow beautiful Alyssum almost anywhere.
