A pair of Chinese official's hat armchairs from the late 19th century, with carved splats, curving structures, scalloped aprons and side stretchers. We currently have two pairs available, priced and sold per pair. Born in the last quarter of the 19th century, each of this pair of Chinese official's hat armchairs features a curving top rail, supported by two convex supports. The back splat is pierced with delicate motifs. The rectangular wooden seat is topped with two serpentine arms, while the front skirt presents a lovely scalloped design.
The ensemble is raised on four straight legs, connected to one another through side stretchers.
