Created in China during the early years of the 20th century, this folding chair features a red lacquered body presenting a slanted back with lamp-hanger upper rail, adorned with a central splat, pierced with bird and foliage motifs on latticed accents.
The seat is made of woven fabric and is resting on an X-frame, that allows the piece to be folded to be moved easily. The front stretcher comprises of a scalloped footrest.
