A Chinese Qing Dynasty period 19th century low butterfly-shaped drinks table from the Fujian province with small drawer and weathered patina. Created in the southeastern Chinese province of Fujian known for its mountains and coastal cities during the Qing Dynasty in the 19th century, this low drinks table charms us with its butterfly shape and nicely distressed patina. The table features a rectangular planked top sitting above a single drawer. This drawer showcases an elongated black colored diamond motif surrounded by a red, dark green and black frame. Boasting a nicely weathered appearance, it is fitted with a simple brass ring pull.
Flanked with simply carved spandrels, the table is adorned with delicate flowers followed by a scalloped apron making up the lower section. The sides are made of brown recessed panels while the back is dark brown / black.
