A Chinese Qing Dynasty period opium daybed from the 19th century, with woven rattan top and removable railings. Created in China during the 19th century, this opium daybed is very sturdy and strong. The top is made of woven rattan surrounded by three removable railings with trickling down effects and carved medallions.
The ensemble is raised on four chow legs connected to one another through a carved apron in the front. Beautifully constructed and boasting a dark patina, this Qing Dynasty 19th century opium daybed can be used for seating or as a guest bed.
