Description

A Chinese Qing Dynasty period wooden coffee table from the 19th century with carved fretwork top, pierced apron and straight legs. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty in the 19th century, this wooden coffee table attracts immediately our attention with its nearly square top adorned with an exquisite fretwork décor. A central carved medallion, surrounded by meander motifs, is flanked with also carved panels showcasing scrolling clouds. Two oval openwork panels are adorned with diamond motifs while the ensemble is framed with additional meanders.

This lighter-toned section is perfectly highlighted by a darker one around it. The table is raised on four straight legs connected to one another through a pierced apron running along the four sides. With its clean lines and skillfully executed décor, this Qing Dynasty Chinese coffee table from the 19th century will make for a great decorative addition to any home, particularly placed in a living room or under a covered patio.
