Description

A Chinese Qing Dynasty period porcelain altar vase from the 19th century with hand-painted figures and calligraphy décor. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this porcelain altar vase features a nicely flaring neck flanked with petite pierced orange-painted handles on the sides allowing the piece to be moved more easily. The mouth's opening is 4 inches of diameter. The belly is adorned with an elegant orange, pink and green décor depicting elegant Chinese ladies sitting or standing next to a table and tending to their children.

A tree in the background provides a diagonal effect that leads our eyes throughout the composition. The back on the other hand is adorned with calligraphy. With its complimenting colors and lovely décor, this Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain altar vase from the 19th century will make for a great addition to any home, whether placed atop a commode, side table or credenza.
