The Phillips is a unique "tarsal brogue" oxford, so called because of the addition of the leather strap on top of the tarsal bones of the foot, between the lacing and the toe cap. The pattern of this oxford makes for a bold and uncommon shoe, and thankfully "bold" works wonderfully with tailoring! This is certainly not a classic business style, but is nevertheless a great way to add edge into an outfit while still looking your best.

Please note: Unfinished crust calf is a "blank canvas" of leather that is susceptible to dramatic discoloration. It is an ideal choice if you would like to create a custom color or patina of your own, but if you do not intend to "finish" the crust calf on your own, it will scuff and discolor very easily. This is not a defect; it is simply the nature of crust calf.
