Description

This Chinese side cabinet from the turn of the century (19th-20th century) features two drawers over two doors and is made of elm with burl wood panels on its front. The skirt is nicely adorned with pierced motifs made of a central flower and delicate tendrils on the sides. The panels are secured with brass hinges and a lock, cut-out with finesse in a characteristic Chinese way.

This cabinet reveals the elegant combination of tradition and modernity proper to Chinese furniture during the early 20th century. With its refined simplicity, this cabinet circa 1900 would be a great addition to any home, especially in a dining room or maybe in an entrance.
