A Chinese vintage elmwood compound wedding wardrobe in two parts, with two sets of double doors, lower drawers and metal hinges. Born in China during the mid-20th century, this large elm compound wardrobe features a small upper cabinet presenting a set of double doors, opening to reveal two inner shelves. The lower section, larger in size, is made of two doors accented with a medallion face plate (echoed from the top) with pierced knobs and metal pulls, that unlocks to reveal a convenient storage area concealing hidden drawers. Raised on four straight legs accented with apron and spandrels, this large cabinet is fitted with metal hinges whose dark patina compliments the warmth of the elm beautifully.
With its large proportions and clean lines, this Chinese vintage wedding two-part wardrobe circa 1950 will bring a touch of elegance to any home, particularly placed in a bedroom or living room. The upper cabinet is 32.5" H while the lower one is 71"H.
